Students who have college applications and/or scholarship applications must plan ahead, bring their stamped, addressed envelopes to the counseling office and we will mail out these envelopes directly from the counseling office. Parents and students can still receive copies of the student history worksheets, which are considered unofficial. We regret any inconvenience this change in procedure may cause our students.
The mission of the DeKalb County secondary school counseling program is to facilitate the development of student competencies in the academic, social/personal, and career domains. The counseling curriculum will be delivered to all students through individual, small-group, and large-group sessions. Each school will incorporate a team approach in which all school personnel, parents, and community will work in a collaborative effort to enhance the success of all students in today's changing multicultural society. Students will be prepared for their roles as life-long learners and socially responsible, productive citizens. |
