MONDAY:

FOCUS AND MOTIVATE

· (5 min.) Unit 1 Opener, pp. 55: Have students review for the vocabulary exam.

PRACTICE AND APPLY

· Have students take the UNIT 1 LECCION 1 vocabulary exam.

· Have students copy and do pages 1, 2, and 3 from the Avancemos Workbook.

ASSESS AND RETEACH

· Homework: If the students don’t finish in class, have them copy and do pages 1, 2, and 3

from the Avancemos Workbook.

TUESDAY:

FOCUS AND MOTIVATE

· (5 min.) Unit 1 Opener, Have students peer-assess pages 1, 2, and 3 from the Avancemos Workbook.

· Have a volunteer read the

"Presentación de Gramática: The Personal A” on page 40
for participation points while students take notes.

· Play the Animated Grammar video that presents the grammar topic – Direct Object Pronouns.

Have students take notes in their composition notebooks.

· Play the Direct Object Pronouns online videos while students take notes

· Have students pick a partner and do exercise 6 “Para Abordar” on page 42.

· Have students do Exercises 7, 8, and 9 in pages 42-43 in the textbook.

· Also, remind students that there will be a Quiz over the Direct Objects on Monday.

WEDNESDAY:

FOCUS AND MOTIVATE

· (5 min.) Unit 1 Opener, Have students peer-assess Exercises 7, 8, and 9 in pages 42-43 in the textbook.

· Have students read aloud Comparación Cultural in p.42.

· Have students do pages 4-6 in the Avancemos workbook for more practice.

· Also, remind students that there will be a Quiz over the Direct Objects on Monday.

· (5 min.) Unit 1 Opener, have students peer-assess pages 4-6 in the Avancemos workbook

· Have students Listen to TELEHISTORIA escena 1(pg.39) and escena 2 (pg.42).

· Review “Tambien se dice” on page 44.

· Have students do exercises 10 and 11 on page 45.

· Have students listen to “Pronunciación: El sonido L y LL” on page 45 and take notes.

· Discuss “Regionalisms” of the sound L y LL.

· Also, remind students that there will be a Quiz over the Direct Objects on Monday.
